John Edwards Speaks

Posted by Phoenix Woman on September 13, 2007

And will do so tonight:

Tonight, after President Bush makes yet another argument for continuing the war in Iraq, John Edwards will speak directly to the American people in a nationwide address on MSNBC.

Our campaign has bought airtime on MSNBC immediately following the President’s address at 9 p.m., and John Edwards will challenge the President’s remarks with a strong call to the nation to end the war now.

Please watch in that timeframe—and forward this e-mail to your friends, asking them to watch as well. Each of us has a responsibility to make sure that President Bush and Congress understand that the time for excuses has run out. John Edwards will deliver a strong message tonight on our behalf. It’s time to end this war and bring our troops home.

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are speaking out as well.

It’s about time.

Obama yesterday, Edwards tonight. The race to appease the netroots is on. Hillary will watch these two go further out on a limb, as will adults everywhere, but the children will be full of glee.

  2. So 70% of America is “the netroots”? Wow — that explains why progressive blogs are able to sell more ads for more money lately.

And Jesus said, “Unless ye become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Speaking as a little child, I want to believe that this country can do something other than blow things up and kill people.

    Gosh, Amos, you’re so mature.

Charles, there are living beings we can identify that have been alive longer than any human civilization. We are all children, some of us just think we’re all grown up.

And some of us think we’re the only ones in the room. It’s kind of like that, if you think about it. We’re all being given free will to decide, but we’re not alone at all.
