Monday Morning News Roundup

– Imagine being able to use your brain’s thoughts to direct the movement of a prosthetic device, even if there are no muscles to help move it. It’s possible right now.
– Bonddad saw what I saw WRT the internal OPEC argument on dumping the dollar, and suspects that OPEC will soon dump the dollar over Saudi protests in part because the greenback is so worthless right now that the price of oil is skyrocketing to compensate.
– We’ve known even before Bush invaded that we can’t win in Iraq. Now experts and field generals — British and Australian, alas, not American — are getting the courage to say that we can’t win in Afghanistan now, either.
– With less than two months to go before the primaries, Hillary’s leads in the two bellwether primary states, Iowa and New Hampshire, are fast dropping. She leads Obama by ten in New Hampshire and Edwards by four — barely outside the margin of error — in Iowa.
– Romney is smacking around Rudy Giuliani like a rag doll in both Iowa and New Hampshire, and his lead is growing in both places. (However, he, like all the major GOP candidates, loses to Hillary, Obama and especially Edwards in head-to-head polling.)
