Badly MisinFrumed

Posted by Charles II on October 13, 2008

We have entered a new phase of delusionalism, whatever it is that follows “mescaline-infused.” A Gandhi-quoting David Frum went on Rachel and accused her of being co-dependent with McCain in “negativity.”

Because instead of saying, factually, that McCain is a dangerous demagogue who deserves to be imprisoned for inciting murder, she makes jokes about McCain being on French leave from the 19th century, or whatever. This, Frum says, is disrespectful and degrades the political discourse.

Anti-truth has been devoured by a denizen from even deeper in the MoFo Zone.

Please, Lord, let it be a landslide for Barack. A very, very, very large landslide. Just to mercifully shut these people up.

[Seder and Maron, via Dave Neiwert, have the right idea.]

  1. Rachel just slapped him upside his head. She wasn’t fazed by him at all.

If his head contained any brains, it would have had some impression on him. Instead, he continued to recite his talking points, leaving her unbelieving at his audacity.

BTW, is she going blonde on us?

Yeah, David Frum really said that poking fun at somebody is just as bad as accusing somebody of being a mass murderer or inciting people to call for somebody’s death.

I can’t decide whether it was an example of (a) deny and deflect or (b) tribalism (it’s not what you do, it’s who you are).

This, from the “Axis of Evil” guy. Which, you know, raised the level of discourse to a really high level. Uh huh.

(I wish we could revoke his citizenship, except then you guys would be permanently stuck with him.)

And please, don’t let the election be stolen again.
