        Yeah, doesn’t quite backtranslate. What I put in on the front end was, “They could at least give me a grandmother for breakfast.”

        Schoolchildren would be tastier.

        Kolyma actually doesn’t seem to pay that much attention to the people staring at him. The Zoo’s female tiger, Kisa, often stands on the edge of the moat and studies the people as if deciding which one would make the tastiest snack.

    There seem to be some pitiful scrawny monkeys hereabouts that suffer from the pathetic delusion that they are the local climax predators.

    We’ll just sort this out right now …. over lunch.
