Oh, so that’s why Nixon ordered the Plumbers to blow the safe at Brookings

Posted by Charles II on June 12, 2012

He thought that the file which would reveal his treasonous deal to prevent Johnson from attaining an end to the Vietnam War was at Brookings.

See? When the president does it, that means it is not illegal.

I think the first rule of history is that no leader wants to be judged by anyone who lived through their crap in real time.

And the longer history waits, the less accurate the final accounting will be. I strongly suspect my nephews’ children will someday learn that JFK was assassinated by Martin Luther King Jr. because of a dispute over illegal drug profits.

  2. I like how Parry shows exactly what Woodstein got wrong WRT their take on the LBJ file.
