Michele Bachmann Brings The Crazy

Posted by Phoenix Woman on August 10, 2008

Not to mention the barely-veiled racism.

See, her CD covers the northern exurbs for the Twin Cities; they’re settled with people whose grandparents fled Minneapolis and St. Paul in the Fifties and Sixties when Those People started moving up from Chicago and points South. It’s Megachurch Central — in fact, her BFF Mac Hammond is in dutch with the Feds over his version of the ‘prosperity gospel’.

That’s how we can have a congresscritter in this day and age who is not below the Mason-Dixon Line, yet says things like this:

Representative Michele Bachmann (R-Minnesota) says it has not escaped Democrats what the cost of gasoline and loss of jobs are doing to the country.

“This is their agenda,” Bachmann states bluntly. “I know it is hard to believe, it’s hard to fathom — but this is ‘mission accomplished’ for them,” she asserts. “They want Americans to take transit and move to the inner cities. They want Americans to move to the urban core, live in tenements, (and) take light rail to their government jobs. That’s their vision for America.”

Remember, her core audience is made up of people who go into downtown Minneapolis or St. Paul only under duress, and wouldn’t know what the hell to do if they visited a place like majority-black Washington, DC. That’s why she can say such things.
