Prediction: there will be much pearl clutching and fainting in the editorial aisles over how Barack Obama sat by, and the liberal media whooped it up, as Wanda Sykes called for the death of Rush Limbaugh (“I hope his kidneys fail!”) and the torture of Sean Hannity. The MSNBC panel even thought Sykes went too far by commenting that Sarah Palin wasn’t there, that “She pulled out. Someone should tell her that’s not the way to practice abstinence.” (quote is approximate).
Further: there will be no discussion of Rush Limbaugh’s ugly riffs in which (in just the last 100 days) he compared Obama to Satan, an abusive husband, a liar, a rapist, and a tyrant, or of the fact that the liberal media only calls waterboarding torture when other countries do it.
But, as Josh points out, this is the liberal media on which David Petraeus, Dick Cheney, Newt Gingrich, and John McCain are presented as the only American voices to which we need listen. NBC will have on Hamid Karzai and Asif Ali Zardari. Period.
