Honduras Coup, Act VI, Day 37

Adrienne has a piece by DemocracyNow correspondent Andrés Thomas Conteris, who has been in the embassy with Zelaya, on the evidence that the US was in on the coup.

The European Union has gotten around to condemning a couple of the killings in Honduras, according to RNS at HondurasCoup2009. This puts the ponderous Europeans light years ahead of the US.

The sub-director (associate director) of the School of Fine Arts, Rafael Gerardo Cáceres, has been receiving threats, according to Defensores en Linea. They say his life is in imminent peril and are seeking protective measures from the OAS.

According to Tiempo, Craig Kelly arrived surprisingly in Tegucigalpa to have meetings with the players.

The teaching profession is threatening a strike.
