Most cats can do this fairly easily.
It’s a spectrum. On one end, you have classic nap attack victims. On the other end, you have stealth speed freaks with hardwired caffeine glands who never seem to sleep, like Sweety Girl.

When I was a child, one of our neighbors had an orange Persian cat named “Jasper”. Jasper was known for being an extremely mellow (not to mention lazy) animal. Once I watched him stalking a bird; he slowly approached, got into the crouch position, as if preparing to spring… and then closed his eyes and started snoozing.
