Republicans are so bullish on war that 30% would bomb a fictional country

Posted by Charles II on December 20, 2015

Trevor Timm, The Guardian:

A poll on Friday by Public Policy Polling perfectly encapsulates the Republican presidential race so far: “30% of Republican primary voters nationally say they support bombing Agrabah.” That would be the fictional country in Aladdin.

Council on Foreign Relations’ Micah Zenko has a handy chart where he is tracking all the people and places each presidential candidate has said he or she wants to bomb. He reminds us that Ben Carson has not only promised all of the above, but to also unleash drone strikes in Mexico.

It’s worth noting that Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton is just as militaristic, or more so, than most of the Republicans when it comes to Isis and Iran. She has at least refrained, however, from calling for a third world war with Russia or launching drone strikes in Mexico.

What was the so-called demodog followers on this number? Sadly Amerikas citizens were against boots on the ground in Syria then after France then Amerika now it’s moved into the neo-conns favor. I doubt that has anything to with the corp. owned press;)

I got my first real haircut in an old time barber shop this last week and sadly I watched cnn feed to fuax on the LA school shut down. The so-called expert was calling for heavily armed security in every school not once mentioning it was a bomb threat. I was waiting for him to say every student should be arm:( Propaganda at it’s best and believe me this my first time at this business I just stayed silent.

Bernie said one the few things I agree with this last week That powers to be are pitting race against race for me like Oh really. Then again he did say it and I do hope he keeps bring it up.

Oh well the left over dinner is ready. Charles were you able to put a few tomatoes away to use later? Mine have been great.

PublicPolicyPolling. Democrats: “36% of them opposed bombing Agrabah to 19% in support” vs. “30% of Republican primary voters say they support bombing it to 13% who are opposed”. So, some Democratic support for fantasies, but much less than Republicans.

As for tomatoes, fried a bunch of green ones and froze them. Haven’t started eating them, but they were very good. The red ones are all gone: delicious.
