The Guilty Flee When No One Pursueth: RWers Scrub Websites After Giffords Shooting

Posted by Phoenix Woman on January 8, 2011

Erick Erickson and Michelle Malkin doth protest too much when they say that the guy who shot Democratic congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords couldn’t have been a fellow right-winger like them. If that’s so, then why are a whole bunch of right-winger Republicans and their allies suddenly scrubbing things from their websites?

Things like this:

And this, scrubbed from Sarah Palin’s website:

The guilty — of conscience, perhaps? — flee when no one pursueth.

The Freak Republicans are trying to link a post by a Kossack that was taken down to her shooting. The post, from January 6th, says absolutely nothing about violence, nor is there any indication that the poster is in any way involved.

They are also attempting to connect the shooting to the simultaneous shooting of Judge John McCarthy Roll, GHW Bush appointee to the District of Arizona. There is no evidence that Roll’s shooting is anything except coincidence.

Dragnet2 claims that Wenneker von Brunn’s who killed a guard at the Holocaust Museum and Andrew Joseph Stack III, the guy who flew his plane into the IRS building were left-wingers. von Brunn was a white supremacist. Stack was a tax protester whose politics remain obscure.

But, hey! Anything to deflect a sense of guilt.

And how will the Free Republic spin these comments?

    What’s the fuss about?

    This is what Giffords wanted.

It’s clear Giffords was “OK” with someone causing her to die prematurely, since she voted for Obamacare to kill all of our parents and grandparents the moment they become too expensive to keep around.

Who am I to second-guess Gifford’s values and beliefs?

This is what she chose in life, and we should respect that choice now that she’s dead.

And if she’s only “critically injured,” should we keep her alive? Sounds expensive, folks. I say pull the plug on the Nazi.

Exactly as she chose for you and me.

THE OBAMA GOON SQUAD HAVE KICKED OFF THEIR CAMPAIGN OF DOMESTIC TERRORISM, DESIGNED TO CREATE THE IMPRESSION OF CONSERVATIVE VIOLENCE, GIVING O’BUNGWAD THE EXCUSE HE NEEDS TO IMPOSE MARSHALL LAW, AND DRACONIAN GUN SIEZURES.

This is probably just the beginning. The Chicago-politico-union-mob is ramping up for the big showdown. Keep your powder dry, and your heads cool. Electoral resistance like O’Bumsuck just faced in November leaves him only this final tactic to accomplish his Socialist-Green-One-World agenda.

    Now, it starts.

Yes, yes, they are only two posters of hundreds. Most posters were appropriately shocked by the shooting. But most Arizonans did not shoot Gabrielle Giffords. All it took was one.

Ben Smith at Politico says that the suspect in the shooting is Jared Loughner. Into metals and anti-government rhetoric, perhaps anti-religious, but of no obvious political bent.

This is sad and we know that there will be more of this down the road of hate, that the repugs have spread across the planet.
Yep, he’s white so will he be a terrorist and held confinement for ever? Nope the spin will be, yes blaming ever one but the ones that have spread this hateful message.

This will be good for businesses providing security at the tax payers’ expense. A country more locked down than ever. Blackwater to the rescue

Can’t think of any righties who are into grammar or reading.

Granted, The Phantom Tollbooth isn’t exactly a literary classic.

There were reports that one or two other men were being held for questioning.

One other point. Jared is a name that is common among Mormons. The anti-religious angle to the You-Tube made me wonder whether this fellow is not a refugee from that church. That’s pure speculation, of course.

Added: It turns out that an Ayn Rand book was on Jared Loughner’s reading list. “We the Living”.

I am and I don’t have much only to have if the fiat dollar becomes worthless and if you have noticed prices in the store or at the pump well what can I say.
Yes I saw the reading list but at the same time he was being programed/lead to this event. This is what hate radio/tv has brought to this nation, feed the few haters so others will join, copy cat any one. This sounds like Amerika in its adventures around the world and we wonder why the hate us so. Yep, just another group of fools helping the govt. tighten it’s grip on the home land. (the typo was home of the lame) fits also. Just keep keep those education $$ going to war and everything will work out in the end:(

    I respect Pat Lang.

But his blog is moderated, a fact he makes as little secret of as you do.

    Today, he took sides.

I am done with him. I hope we do not meet again.

I’m sorry to hear that, Stormcrow. It does seem that if people are going to sponsor open threads, they shouldn’t get p–sy about what gets posted.

BTW, we only moderate MercRising because some people get tedious, say things that sound a lot like threats of violence, or otherwise make it clear they’re not here to talk. It’s not an issue of content. My family has plenty of right-wingers and we get along.
