Why has it taken longer than 30 seconds for the Ryan budget rules to be called not CUTGO, but CUTRUN?
That’s what the Republican plan is: cut revenues, then run away from the consequences.
It is not reasonable to cut taxes ahead of cutting spending. It is not reasonable to cut spending ahead of a sober assessment of need.
Democratic PAYGO vs. Republican CUTRUN sounds like a soundbite battle we could win.
