Busted!

In which Goldman Sachs puts it foot in it WRT the “cherry-picked” e-mails:

My absolute first thought when I saw the “cherry-picking” complaint was of Richard Nixon and the Watergate Tapes. I am not a lawyer and as always, just might be an idiot but it sure looks to me that Sen Levin and staff found what can be very close to the “smoking gun.”

Pass the popcorn. This oughta be good.

Arizona: The “Show Us Your Papers” State

Posted by Phoenix Woman on April 25, 2010

A Hispanic truck driver in Phoenix was pulled over by ICE and asked to show his birth certificate. With the new “show us your papers” law, expect this to happen a lot more often, except it won’t be ICE doing it.

Somehow I doubt this is happening much to Irish-American truck drivers in Boston, even though Boston is a longtime haven for undocumented Irish immigrants.

UPDATE: Oh, and in case it wasn’t crystal-clear that SB 1070 is motivated by racism, look at who the bill’s sponsor, Russell Pearce, has for a good buddy: White supremacist J.T. Ready.
